Digital Law
Digital law is the "electronic responsibility for actions and deeds." (Ribble, 2014) As with other areas, the perceived anonymity of the internet leads some to believe that the normal laws of society do not apply or are not as strongly enforced online. Common examples of laws which are violated online include:
- Hacking
- Illegal downloading
- Plagiarizing
- Virus propagation
- Identity theft
