Digital Etiquette
Digital etiquette, or netiquette, is the "electronic standards of conduct or procedure." (Ribble, 2014) Due in part to the perceived anonymity of the internet, people tend to forget that they are dealing with real people. As a result, there is a high amount of cyberbullying, "trolling," and other offensive behaviors on the internet. Understanding the importance of netiquette is a very important part of digital citizenship.
